Why Leap? |
College admissions essays are challenging to write. You need a compelling topic. You want to be creative but not over-the-top. There's so much to say but not enough space. Or too much space and not enough to say. At Take the Leap, we don't want you to struggle with your essay. Like everyone, you have an insight to share or an experience that affected your life. Perhaps it shaped your point of view and motivated you to pursue a specific goal. Take the Leap will help you figure out the best way to tell your story and how to fill it with the personal details, vivid scenes and descriptive phrases that will make your application stand out.

Help Is On The Way!Take the family fights out of college essay writing. Let Take the Leap help. |
It's hard to write with a parent, teacher or friend looking over your shoulder. They mean well but their feedback can be overwhelming and, let's face it, annoying. If you're a parent, you want to be supportive but it's almost impossible to figure out how much or how little to get involved. It's no wonder that during so-called "help" sessions, everyone involved is searching for the nearest exit.
At Take the Leap, we want to eliminate family fights (at least those over college essays). In order to give students the space necessary to express themselves, be creative, and focus without feeling judged, we communicate primarily through email. Assignments, drafts and revisions are sent back and forth so that students can work on them when their schedule permits but within a timetable devised to meet their specific application deadlines. |
Trust Before You Leap

Unlike other college counseling companies,Take the Leap does not outsource essay services to part-time employees, writers or students. Hyla works personally with each student to craft his/her essay.
Fact: The first personal essay Hyla ever wrote was her college admissions essay. |
